1460 Richard Nevill earl of Salisbury is murdered at Pontefract castle. He was captured after the battle of Wakefield and held in custody pending ransom. He was set upon my a mob and executed, possibly by Robert Holland, Bastard of Exeter. Oh… and it’s my birthday!
